Wedding Planning: which suppliers do I actually need?
Hello!
Charlotte here!
So you are planning your wedding- awesome! Planning a wedding is awesome, but also time consuming and if you are coming to it fresh below I have put a list of the suppliers you might want to bring in to make it the very best! The big note here is that you don’t have to hire/bring in any of these suppliers if you don’t want to, you can DIY so many of these yourself. I’ve categorised them by the services and suppliers you are most likely to bring or need in for your wedding.
You will probably want to consider:
Your wedding attire
Wedding rings
Photographer
Caterer
Bar/drinks
Furniture (if doesn’t come with the venue)
Crockery, linens, cutlery (if doesn’t come with the venue or one of the other companies you have booked)
Somewhere to sleep the night before and night of your wedding
Nice to have if the budget allows:
Wedding Planner or Day of Coordinator
Videographer
Some clothing for your wedding party
Florist
Cake
Decor
Music: Band or DJ
Entertainment during the ceremony or reception
Photo booth
Lighting
Hair and/or Makeup Artist
Transport
Stationery
Veil
Who you might not have considered:
Specialist food trucks for evening food
Extra activities such as lawn games, clay pigeon shooting, bouncy castles
Preserving your wedding bouquet
Extra desserts
Ice cream/ popcorn/ hot chocolate stands
Celebrant
Transport for you and/or your guests
Hair accessories
Yes, I haven’t put myself in as a planner/coordinator in the ‘want to consider’ pile. We aren’t an essential service, however we can be helpful to have, for me, a Day of Coordinator is something to really consider especially if you are DIY-ing your wedding or you have a dry hire venue.
